LOMBARDY READING

The signing ceremony took place on 18 June 2026 at the Lombardy Regional Government, an institutional and cultural event bringing together key figures from the world of books around a clear message: to foster a love of reading, support existing readers and open up new avenues to reach an ever-increasing number of people across the region.
Speakers at the event included, amongst others, the President of the Lombardy Region, Attilio Fontana, and the Regional Councillor for Culture, Francesca Caruso, alongside representatives from the organisations and associations that have signed the agreement.
The agreement brings together 61 organisations, including institutions, cultural bodies, universities, foundations, libraries, publishers, associations and third-sector organisations, with the aim of promoting reading and expanding access to books throughout the Lombardy region.
