The promenade surrounding the Castello Sforzesco is dedicated to Umberto Eco. Ten years after his passing, the Comune di Milano pays tribute to him, and a plaque commemorates him as “Philosopher – Writer.”
The official naming ceremony was held on 19 February 2026 in Piazza Castello, at the corner of Via Minghetti, in front of number 19.
