Umberto Eco Promenade

The promenade surrounding the Castello Sforzesco will be dedicated to Umberto Eco. Ten years after his passing, the Municipality of Milan pays tribute to him; the plaque will commemorate him as “Philosopher – Writer.” The official naming ceremony is scheduled for February 19th, 2026 at 12:30 PM (Piazza Castello, corner of Via Minghetti).
